Sumario:Adenoid cystic carcinoma (ACC) is the most common malignant tumor of the minor salivary glands. It is a rare, slow-growing malignant neoplasm, with an unfavorable prognosis, due to its aggressiveness and great potential for recurrence. They represent 3-10% of all head and neck neoplasms, with minor salivary gland tumors accounting for approximately 25% of all salivary gland tumors. In this work we aim to report a case of CAC in the soft palate with rapid evolution and asymptomatic. This tumor is commonly characterized by the presence of pain, a high rate of recurrence, metastasis and poor survival. Carrying out studies monitoring these patients is extremely important for a better assessment of the prognosis of the disease.
