Description
Summary:In the current era, technology has the power to attribute new functionalities in various contexts, including Psychology and Psychological Assessment. In the latter, Artificial Intelligence is being integrated into computerized scoring programs for psychological tests. This article aimed to present the context of Psychological Assessment, investigating the potential impact of Advanced Technologies, particularly Artificial Intelligence, in the context of Psychological Assessment, with an emphasis on the possibility of replacing the professional in this process, aiming to understand the subjective human impact on Psychological Assessment. To achieve this, three AI technologies were interviewed, with the responses categorized and analyzed by thematic categories. The results indicated that the insertion of AI in Psychological Assessment has potentialities, making the process less time-consuming and more autonomous, with real-time data updates. However, it should not be viewed as a possibility for replacing the human professional. Instead, it suggests considering it as a complementary tool, to be used with ethics and responsibility.
