Descripción
Sumario:This article presents a theoretical presupposition of the research project, Materialist Revision of Bioethics, developed by the author. This paper aims to discuss the main concepts of the philosophical critique of materialist type of religious and theological thought. It will explain the categories that make up such a critical position, which have been proposed and deployed in the history of Occidental philosophy. Moreover, attempts are also carrying out a reconstruction of this criticism, examining aspects still unilateral and insufficient, in search of an understanding of the fullest possible social objective determinations of the resurgence of religion and the expansion of obscurantist tendencies in the capitalist world, which are heard producing obstacles to the advancement of scientific knowledge and human-societal emancipation.
