Descrição
Resumo:The present investigation seeks to understand the various forms of insertion of young people in socio-environmental movements, articulating references from critical environmental education, youth and cultural studies. To do so, we used a digital questionnaire, in which we drew a corporate profile of 13 young people who declared to have participated in environmental groups or projects. The variety of action spaces, ranging from NGOs to schools and universities, passing through different social movements, suggests a plurality of understandings about political militancy. We conclude that environmental movements, by bringing together youth and sectors of the working class in a movement of action-reflection with the objective of social transformation, also constitute spaces that train and do environmental education. Another relevant contribution of the research is to identify the centrality of schools and universities in the environmental militancy of youths.
