Descripción
Sumario:The objective of this paper is to discuss and analyze the relationship between the society and the extensive nature in the wetland in the northern Pantanal, taking a greater interest by the residents along the Rivers SãoLourenço and Cuiaba, between the years of 1870 to 1930, known for externally "ribeirinhos". Bogtrotter enters in the universe that the "ribeirinhos" helped to compose, realizing their daily practices in the context of changes in Mato Grosso after the War with Paraguay (1870) and the reopening of river traffic, having in view the growth of the relations of exchange and trade places with the river boats, which led to the intensification in exploitation of natural resources and changed the landscape of the Pantanal.
