Sumario:Twotechniqucs, one ofthem using thin-layer chromatography and the other enzyme-Iinked irrununosorbent assay (ELISA) were compared for the detennination of aflatoxins, ochratoxin A and zearalenone. Seven sampIes of com and twenty samp1csof com meal from an industry in Paraná State were analysed for this purpose. The ELISA method was simpler to use, faster, showing higher concentrations than thc thin-layer chromatography mcthod. False positives requiring confirmation of the mycotoxins were observed with the ELISA method.
