| Sumario: | The presence of sarcopenia and self-reported diseases in elderly people evaluated in homes in the interior of Amazonas were characterized. A descriptive cross-sectional study with 81 elderly people correlated sarcopenia (SARC-F) and the Functional Comorbidity Index (FCI). The correlation was positive and weak =0.2194. The elderly in this study show signs of sarcopenia, high rates of comorbidities, and risk of frailty that are exacerbated by their sociodemographic conditions. |
