Sumario:The paper aims to discuss the role of the Gazeta do Povo beliefs in the group's journalistic production routine. With the announcement of the end of the form also came the public presentation of the vehicle's convictions on certain topics, such as the role of the state in society, family constitution and abortion. The new vehicle design is the first such initiative in Latin America and is based on the business model focused on digital signatures and not advertising, focusing on the national audience. In order to reach the proposed objectives, the research adopts the qualitative methodology, based on the analysis of the in-depth interviewsconducted with 15 vehicle professionals between October 2017 and September 2018. The results indicate that the convictions have a different impact in the editorials, and that there is a core made up of key editorials that aim to "sell" the convictions from journalistic production. This demonstrates the political role played by journalism practiced within the Gazeta do Povo.
