| Sumario: | Visual resources are analyzed as strategies for understanding comics and for comics reading by deaf people, due to their visual perspective on the world. Through a qualitative research, we investigated 10 narratives in the Brazilian Sign Language (Libras) produced by deaf people based on the comic “Não chora que eu dou um jeito” by Turma da Mônica (SOUSA, 2009). The analyze is carried out in the light of studies by Libras (BRITO, 2010; QUADROS; KARNOPP, 2004), Comics (RAMOS, 2009; SOUZA, 2013) and the Labov’s narrative model (FIGUEIREDO, 2009). The following results were found: presence of narrative elements proposed by Labov; elaboration of narration in Libras based on Comics, without using words; production of classifiers in Libras based on visual resources. |
