Sumario:Based on researchs on the sensoriality of audiovisual media, we will investigate some modes of contemporary bodily engagement – aesthetic and narrative strategies that seek to summon and intertwine three categories of bodies: actor’s bodies, spectatorial bodies and the film's own body. There are three modes of engagement addressed here: haptic visuality/listening, based on tactility and activation of sensory memories; carnal resonance, which involves rhythmic and choreographic aspects of images and sounds; and the body-camera, conceived here as a set of intimacy production strategies that establish a proprioceptive/incarnated relationship between viewer and film.
