Sumario:Objective: to analyze the experiences of integrative and complementary practices in health (PICS) as a care strategy for workers and mental health users in a municipality of Bahia. Method: used the theoretical framework of Good Practices in Community Mental Health by the method of Convergent Care Research. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with users and workers. The scenario of the study was in the metropolitan region of Salvador, in six health units, which offer integrative and complementary practices. Data were analyzed by thematic analysis technique. Results: were grouped in the thematic category: PICS as an experience of extended care in mental health. Conclusion: PICS enable the guarantee of comprehensive care, considering the complexity of people who fall ill and enable the expansion of the therapeutic offer respecting the individual desires of the subjects.
