| Sumario: | This article deals with race, class and gender constraints as factors that influence violence against the aging subject, against the background of the determinations of the capitalist society of production. It aims to make a brief analysis of the theme of violence, identifying the types of violence practiced against the elderly, articulating with the discussion about the conditionalities of race, class and gender as determining factors of violence. The methodology used was a bibliographic review with a qualitative approach. The implementation of effective Public Policies aimed at families, with special attention to the elderly population, is presented as the most efficient strategy to combat this type of violence. |
