Para tanto, realiza-se pesquisa qualiquantitativa, aplicando-se as técnicas de análise documental ao recorte temporal 1989-2020, com documentos elaborados pela Comissão e pela Corte Interamericanas. Conclui-se que o conceito de interseccionalidade empregado pela Comissão Interamericana e pela Corte Interamericana estão em consonância com o conceito teórico apreendido a partir da revisão de literatura, sobretudo quanto à dimensão qualitativa e o caráter estrutural da interseccionalidade. Por fim, também é importante destacar que a confusão conceitual entre interseccionalidade e outras formas de discriminação, em que se configura a confluência de dois ou mais vetores, pode comprometer sua eficácia enquanto instrumento, metodologia e conceito para a defesa dos direitos humanos e, especialmente, da dignidade humana.The purpose of this article is to describe, analyze and criticize the use of the concept of intersectionality in the Inter-American System for the Protection of Human Rights and its main organs. In order to achieve this objective, a quali-quantitative is carried out by applying documental analysis and jurisprudential research techniques to the 1989-2020 time frame, with documents produced by the Inter-American Commission and Court. It is concluded that the concept of intersectionality used by the Inter-American Commission and Court are lined up with the theoretical concept established by literature review, especially regarding the qualitative dimension and the structural character of intersectionality.
