Descripción
Sumario:This article presents the operative chain of vessels evidenced in earthworks sites in the Acre state, Brazil. It analyzes ceramic technologies, their possible uses and discarding patterns to understand the region’s broader processes of cultural change. This research contributes to an initial systematization of the stages of production of the vessels and evaluates the relevance of the Quinari Tradition in this context. Results indicate that the technological characteristics of the ceramics found at these sites, distant from the major rivers, align with riverine archaeological models that elucidate the movement of groups, objects, and ideas prevalent in the alluvial plain.
