Sumario:The objective of the work was to identify different types and proportions of compounds in the formulation of substrates for obtaining tomato and eggplant seedlings. Two experiments were conducted in a completely randomized design, composed of seven treatments consisting of the substrates (Tropstrato®, Solo + cattle manure, Solo + goat manure, Solo + goat manure + beef manure, Solo + beef manure + sand, Soil + goat manure + sand and soil + goat manure + cattle manure + sand) submitted to three replications, totaling 21 plots consisting of 10 plants each. The variables analyzed were: root length (CR), shoot length (CPA), stem diameter (DC), number of total leaves (QFT), number of true leaves (QFV), fresh shoot weight (MFPA) ), dry shoot weight (MSPA), fresh root weight (MFR) and dry root weight (MSR). For the production of tomato seedlings, it is recommended to use the alternative substrate composed of 50% soil + 50% bovine manure, as an alternative to replace the commercial substrate. For the production of eggplant seedlings, alternative substrates 50% Solo + 50% bovine manure, 33.33% Solo + 33.33% goat manure + 33.33% bovine manure and 25% Solo are recommended + 25% goat manure + 25% bovine manure + 25% sand, being alternatives for replacing the commercial substrate. Therefore, substrate B (composed of soil and bovine manure, in the proportion of 1: 1) is indicated for both species, among which the alternative has the pH closest to the commercial substrate.
