Descripción
Sumario:Mössbauer studies of some indian ceramics from the region of Brejo Santo (CE) have been made. In order to find the burning temperature of the ceramic crafts, a scale of the variation of the Mössbauer parameters has been built, as a function of the burning temperatures, of clay samples colleted in the actual place where the indian ceramics have been found. Clays were cooked during 10 hours in 100°C steps from room temperature up to 1100°C. The variations of the Mössbauer parameters have been interpreted in terms of the change induced by the cooking process. By this method the burning temperature in which the indian ceramics have been prepared were found as being 300°C.
