| Sumario: | This article is a result of a theoric research, from qualitative nature, performed to understand and problematize about the Pedagogical Coordinator work (PC), in the perspective of a democratic school building, guided by the principles of Freirian thought. This discussion is believed to be opportune, not only by the relevance and scarcity of the writings with this specificity, but above all, for this year to celebrate the centenary of this important autochthonous thinker recognized worldwide. The PC works in the school management, in social and institutional spaces much mentioned by Paulo Freire. The text emerges from the explanation and articulation of the cathegories presented in Paulo Freire’s thoughs and scholar of his work. Five big themes were defined on which Paulo Freire reflects and writes; democracy, dialogue, respect for students, teacher’s autonomy and humanization. It is believed that these can support the understanding of PC’s work towards to a democratic, humanizing school focused on the integral development of students. |
