| Sumario: | This essay seeks to analyze the elements that characterize the new lex mercatoria and understand them in light of the dynamics of international relations, especially in the field of international trade law. To this end, this paper is grounded on legal concepts developed by Berthold Goldman and Paul Lagarde. The conclusion is that the new lex mercatoria is an autonomous legal order, independent from the will of states, part of the legal system within international trade law that functions with its own coherent structure. |
