Descripción
Sumario:This article aims to analyze how the illness of teleworkers in the private sector during the Covid-19 pandemic relates to characteristic aspects of the VUCA World. Based on discussions that point to volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity as characteristics of postmodernity, it seeks to cast a critical eye on the expansion of telework as a labor modality, especially during the pandemic period. The collected data, of bibliographical nature, were qualitatively analyzed and systematized around two categories central to the proposed reflections: economic aspects, being those related to the direct and indirect effects of the pandemic on the global economy; and socio-cultural and personal aspects, linked to non-economic effects, but that deepened the characteristics of the VUCA World in the context of telework. The results achieved point to the need to think about strategies for physical and mental care of teleworkers and situate the importance of legal professionals in guaranteeing the rights of the category, as well as minimizing the risks of illness.
