Sumario:The goalkeeper is the most important player in a game, without him a game never starts, and his actions can be decisive for the game, both positively and negatively, so this work aimed to analyze the defense techniques most used by the goalkeeper during the game in relation to the finishing sectors. To carry out this study, 32 women's futsal games from the Open Games of Santa Catarina (JASC) 2019 were analyzed. For the analysis of the study, a scout adapted from D'Ávila and collaborators (2002), was used, considering only the submissions that were correct in goal where the goalkeeper has made a defense, or has conceded the goal. The goalkeeper's techniques were divided into four falls (high, medium, low and with feet) and four other defenses (no fall, exit closing the angle, drag and cover), totaling eight defensive technical actions.
