Descrição
Resumo:The present study is an integrative literature review, with the objective of surveying studies on professional interests in the last decade (2013-2023) based on the theory of vocational personality proposed by Holland. Searches were carried out in the Virtual Health Library (VHL), Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO) and PsycoInfo (APA) databases, and in the end, twenty articles were selected and analyzed to understand the perspective proposed by the theorist and the possibilities of use of his theory in scientific research and professional interventions. It was verified, from the studies analyzed in this literature review, that Holland's theory is consolidated and recognized internationally, and his vocational personality model is significantly widespread and used in the work of professional advisors with different audiences (students, workers, people with cognitive and behavioral differences) and as theoretical support in research in Professional and Career Guidance, as well as in the development of instruments for assessing professional interests.
