| Resumo: | This article analyzes two actions carried out in 2021 by Jóvenes Republicanos (JR) -a right-wing Argentine political group- and their media coverage. The first performance was made with black bags, alluding to those who died from Covid-19 and the alleged relationship of these deaths with discretion in the distribution of vaccines. The second was the making of polenta packages, denouncing the high rates of poverty. Both took place in the context of anti-government marches. The hypothesis is that JR adopts performative elements as a way of appearance in the public sphere. The methodology is qualitative, based on the analysis of the discourses of the referents and on a virtual ethnography in different social networks. In addition, the performances are described, analyzed and compared. |
