| Sumario: | This article aims to show the relationship between João Guimarães Rosa and Israel Klabin’s jewish family. From the correspondence between Rosa and Klabin and also from an interview granted to the author of this study, the philo-semitism of Rosa is demonstrated. Furthermore, based on documents, books and deep research, this article discusses the familiarity and proceedings of Rosa with regards to the issue of conceding visas to Jews during his time in the Brazilian Embassy in Hamburg. |
