| Sumario: | Abstract: Abstract: The research aims to discuss domestic violence, conceptualizing it and presenting its impacts on the abused woman, from a physical, psychological and affective point of view; discuss the Marine Law of Penha highlighting the advances that this legislation means in facing the problem of violence against women; analyze the situation in the municipality of Jacobina in Bahia, highlighting what has been done by local authorities in favor of the development of an effective network to combat domestic violence; and discuss the need to implement a women's police station in that municipality. The methodology chosen is bibliographic research of the exploratory descriptive type, with a qualitative analytical bias. The results show the importance of providing the population of Jacobina in Bahia with a police station to assist women in the face of the numerically significant female population as well as in view of the high rates of femicide in the municipality in the state of Bahia as a whole. |
