Description
Summary:This article aims to demonstrate the capacity of geoprocessing tools, including images from different sensory systems, to contribute to the characterization, both synchronous and diachronic, of regions that require land regularization. Through the application of geoprocessing tools aligned with aerial photogrammetric products in urban assessment, we seek to demonstrate the presence and progression of peripheral informal occupation in the city of Ribeirão Preto, in the interior of the state of São Paulo. This scenario is used as an emblematic example of the favelaization phenomenon observed in medium-sized cities in the interior of São Paulo.
