| Resumo: | Through a part of correspondence exchanged by the writers Cyro Martins and Augusto Meyer, this paper analyzes the trajectory of the first and the context of intellectual life in Porto Alegre during the 1930s and 1940s. Thus, it is by the edges that aspects of intellectual sociability in Porto Alegre during the first decades of the twentieth century are studied, as well as singularities of the process of modernization that support such movement. How appears at the text, Cyro Martins will have difficulties for transit in this context of new sociability and new topics. |
