Sumario:The objective of this study was to evaluate the relationship between the variables determined by the SENAI questionnaire in its industrial maturity measurement platform. The study was divided into two phases. The first is exploratory, based on the adoption of MCA, Multiple Correspondence Analysis techniques, and the second is prospective, based on the use of multinominal models. The variable of interest was the degree of maturity of companies estimated by the SENAI platform. In the correspondence analysis, it was possible to see how far these companies are from achieving this goal. In the perceptual maps it was possible to observe that the variable of interest clearly separates the companies into two groups, but there is considerable asymmetry between the others. As an analysis tool, it was possible to estimate the gains with the incremental use of the model's variables in the journey to Industry 4.0. Then, as a management tool, it was possible to estimate the innovation gap by calculating the probability of success for proactive companies on this journey and for others. Finally, and as an opportunistic finding, its use as a calculator where it was possible to measure the risk associated with the decisions taken by agents interested in the journey to I4.0.
