| Resumo: | This study analyzed the importance of actions aimed at early childhood development, especially in light of the guidelines of the Federal Constitution of 1988. In alignment with these guidelines, the "Criança Feliz" Program seeks to promote the comprehensive development of children, positioning itself as the main public policy in this area at the national level. Although the program has the potential to strengthen socio-emotional skills and provide support to families, the analysis of its implementation reveals criticisms, including operational weaknesses and a lack of social participation. Despite advancements in legislation and some positive impacts of the program, a more robust approach is necessary to ensure the fundamental rights of children, such as education and health, along with a renewed commitment from the state to child development. |
