Summary:After 2003, China’s geoeconomic relations with Brazil underwent significant growth, both in terms of exportations and importations. In this context, different regions of the interior of Brazil fallowed this perspective and recently started to have China as their main international trade partner. In the case of the West mesoregion of Santa Catarina, studied preliminarily in terms of its geoeconomic relationship with China in this article, can see the confirmation that China is the main trading partner in the region. In this sense, the objective this article is to understand the evolution of the geoeconomic relations of the West region of Santa Catarina with China from the analysis of the growth of commercial relations between the region and the country.
