Sumario:This article intends to show the pedagogical proposal of Simón Rodríguez and its relationship with teacher training, allowing to know his bets around the educator subject as a protagonist of the republican realization and the emancipatory project from his role as trainer of the new generations of the nascent Latin American nations. Finding in it, the development of influential categories such as problematizing education, teacher training and the republican educational project, which allows to weave a series of arguments that justify his position regarding the liberating pedagogy and the determining role of the teacher subject in it.
