Sumario:This article aims to propose some reflections on psychoanalysis and the work of Frantz Fanon, starting with an initial concern regarding a set of letters published by psychoanalysts in France on the topic of decoloniality. In the first part, we briefly outline the content of the french discussion, the contents of the letters and some of their various effects, as well as part of the french context in which the debate begins. Moving on to a discussion of some of Fanon's elaborations on the themes of identity, humanism, and universalism - wich are concepts densely present in french debate. We then advance to examine some of the ways psychoanalysis appears in Fanon's work, aiming to highlight some of the issues we consider fundamental to be observed in his writings, in conjunction with discussions on decoloniality and psychoanalysis. Through our production, we seek to engage and contribute to the debate on the potential contributions of Fanon's theory to the field of psychoanalysis.
