| Sumario: | The aim of this paper is to introduce the reader to the research field of psychobiology of memory and show some recent findings. Research on the psychobiology of memory is centered on two major issues: (1) identification of brain areas involved in the regulation of memory storage; and (2) identification of the cellular and neurochemical changes mediating experience-induced changes in interactions among neurons. Recent research findings indicate that different brain areas and different neurotransmitters are related to different kinds of memory. |
