Description
Summary:This is an historical analysis of the positions in Christianity related to slavery and the legal status of the blacks, leading to the rise of black theologies of liberation in the twentieth century and their precursors, especially on the African continent. Within these contemporary theological expressions, Christology, ecclesiology and Bible reading are especially examined. Final considerations seek to stimulate a broader reflection of the phenomenon in the present and in the future.
