These procedures also affected the workers’ movement: Peronist leaders were persecuted, unions were taken over, and there were unfavorable consequences for workers as a whole. Peronist activists responded to the government’s attack; through various tactics, they gave rise to the so-called “Peronist resistance.” These terms spread throughout the country, including the province of Jujuy, located in the northwest of the country. This article determines the characteristics of the process of dismantling and reconstitution of the unions in the province of Jujuy during the Liberating Revolution.

La militancia peronista respondió al ataque perpetrado por el gobierno; a través de diversas tácticas dio lugar a la llamada “resistencia peronista”. Estos términos se diseminaron por todo el país, incluyendo a la provincia de Jujuy, ubicada en el noroeste.
