Descripción
Sumario:The Lençóis Maranhenses, an important tourist destination in Brazil, also preserve traditional ways of life, as is the case in Santo Amaro do Maranhão, where urban sprawl coexists with cultural roots, as evidenced by the photo essay focusing on the relationship between the Alegre River, the Santo Amaro lake and the community. Daily life shows the importance of water in fishing, agriculture and social life, highlighting the resistance of traditions in the face of transformations caused by the advance of tourism.
