Sumario:This article examines the existence of common trends in growth and the formation of convergence clubs among the Brazilian states, allowing the possibility of heterogeneity in their processes of development. Based on the methodology of time series proposed by Phillips and Sul (2007), it appears that there is the formation of two convergence clubs: the first formed by most of the states of the South, Southeast and Centerwest, and a second formed mainly by the states of North and Northeast. The analysis debuggs some inconsistencies found in previous studies, but increases the general evidence found so far.
