Descripción
Sumario:The present study addresses the critique of metaphysics and the proposition of a post-metaphysical ethics in Gianni Vattimo's thought. Considering society in an absolute way is no longer possible if the new conditions of human existence are taken into account. The postmodern theoretical and historical framework based on small reports can also be understood as the crisis of totalitarian reason. The constitution of post-modernity impels us to think in a decentralized way, without the essentialist pretensions of traditional societies, and in a pluralist way to be able to accept what is different, what is particular. These common facts of secularized and post-metaphysical postmodernity raise great ethical concern that goes beyond the peremptoriness of being. But why is it necessary to think beyond metaphysics? Metaphysics as a thought of violence and its overcoming constitute the opening for a hermeneutic ethics in Vattimo.
