| Sumario: | This research empirically considers the linguistic variation in the use of verb agreement (CV) in the third person plural or P6, in order to measure by observing the linguistic performance of Brazilian speakers in Vitória da Conquista - BA, if the application of the rule of agreement is a phenomenon of stable variation or change in course. Considering the corpus of PPVC - Popular Portuguese from Vitoria da Conquista – BA, we analyzed some groups of linguistic and social variations in order to know the factors that are conditioning the level of 17,2 % of application of verbal agreement in P6 in the speech of speakers from this community.KEYWORDS: Sociolinguistic.
