| Summary: | This study aimed to demonstrate and compare the level of ability of high school students and teachers from two public schools have in identifying false news. This is an exploratory and experimental study. The investigation problematized the role of and information, media investigating the consequences in the participants' perception regarding the information obtained through digital social networks. The application of persuasion framings in the questionnaires used was also adhered to. We sought to verify whether these factors are related to the participants' ability to identify the fake news used in the experiment. It was found that there is no such relationship, but that there is a deficit between what is claimed to be knowledge about the subject and the detection of news, in theory, true, whether from the perspective of teachers or students. |
