Resumo:Educating for the landscape is a goal of the Landscape Laboratory at the Federal University of Pernambuco in Brazil, based on the notion that landscape awareness creates a link between cultural heritage conservation and people’s everyday lives. To this end, the concertina book entitled The Thinking Landscape was developed as a playful heritage education tool, bringing landscape awareness closer to the general public. This article presents the concertina book, which discusses the landscape as a common good through a phenomenological perspective connected to the experience of the senses. In this sense, it proposes a dialogue between the thoughts of Augustin Berque and Jean-Marc Besse and the philosophical experience of Ailton Krenak. The article concludes that the playful and creative aspect of the concertina book stimulates sensitivity to the value of the landscape and motivates an ethical approach towards the conservation of the landscape as a common good.
