| Resumo: | The practice of subnational relations (Paradiplomacy) in Brazil does not unfold in the same way in different locations. More developed regions, such as the South and Southeast, are directly prone to internationalization, while the peripheral locations of the North and Northeast articulate in an isolated manner and without adequate institutional support. Thus, the objective of this article is to discuss the paradiplomatic capabilities in peripheral environments, as is the case of the State of Paraíba, located in the Brazilian Northeast. In order to reverse the reality of studies on Paradiplomacy in Brazil, the Cooperar PB Project is used as a research object, whose performance and execution serve as a basis for understanding the complexities that the region of Paraíba faces to the detriment of other Brazilian paradiplomatic centers. |
