| Sumario: | The Rio de Janeiro city stands out as one of the more famous tourist destinies of the world. Nowadays, the tourists originating from São Paulo city represent most of the Brazilian tourists in this capital. In front of this, the present article has as main objective to investigate some aspects that can influence in the visit's motivation and in the image that the citizens of São Paulo city notice Rio de Janeiro capital. For so much, it was looked for to illustrate two factors that could characterize negative influence in the trip motivation to the Rio city: the association of violence to the image of the Rio city and rivalry between persons from São Paulo city and persons from Rio de Janeiro city. Besides these theoretical sources, field research was accomplished in points considered as main entrance channels and tourists' exit among the two cities: the Congonhas Airport and the Tietê Bus Terminal. The result of the research revealed differences among the persons from São Paulo concepts that already traveled the city of Rio de Janeiro and the ones that didn't still make him. |
