Descripción
Sumario:The subject discussed in this article is violence against indigenous peoples in Roraima. The aim of the research was to understand how the Human Rights have been infringed, starting with an analysis of documents, mostly obtained in the reports made in 1980 by anthropologists, historians, the Church, and by the Indians, in which violence aganis indians was markedly indigenous configured in this region. The main achievements of the research show that violence against these people had the purpose of the exploitation of natural resources in the detriment of the culture of these ethnic groups.
