| Sumario: | The present research is a theoretical questioning given form from practical problems resulted from the accreation, organization and availability of photographs by José Pedro Miranda at the Ribeirão Preto Public and Historic Archive. Concerning the role of photography as a historical and archivistic document, this work promotes discussion upon specific problems on archival science, aiming at the arrangement of photographic documents. Its conclusion was the need of comprehensive approach able to consider fonds and photographic collections as objects that, during the processing period, require the subtlety of dialoguing and incorporating processing principles coming from different practices and reflections by professionals in the area of Information Science. |
