Sumario:This article aims to present the construction and implementation of an anti-racist education projectcalled “ERER quilombola: transgressive looks”. Considering that education is the space for transformation orreproduction of the material and social conditions of life. There is no way to imagine the current reality withoutconsidering education as a vital space for the functioning of contemporary societies. It is in this context that theeducation of ethnic-racial relations is necessary. Dealing with racism and its practical consequences is an objectof considerable difficulty, given that the phenomenon has assumed, in Brazilian society, the role of modulator ofsocial relations. Both from a historical point of view and in the country's social formation process, it isundeniable that racial inequality is a structuring factor in social relations in Brazil. It is in the wake of thiscomplex set of relationships that, based on many reflections and debates, it was decided to develop the project.The teaching activity of the project coordinators, combined with their activism, gave rise to the desire topositively impact the educational process, with regard to the education of ethnic-racial relations, within themunicipality of Pelotas-RS. The reflection presented here is based on a qualitative analysis matrix, in which thedata listed derives from a survey processed via online forms presented to teachers and coordinators participatingin the study resulting from the actions undertaken by the ERER Quilombola project: Transgressive Looks.Considering the fact that the research results from a set of actions developed in practices in education of ethnic-racial relations (ERER), the purpose of these instruments was to evaluate the understanding of the meaning oflaw 10.639/03, as well as the contributions that Training tools can provide job qualifications in education topromote racial equality.
