| Sumario: | Based on works by Svartman, Jenkins, Ford and Green this article proposes a reading and interpretation of the concepts of convergence and media expansion in the Brazilian telenovela Vai na Fé, focusing on the storyline of the character Wilma Campos (Renata Sorrah). Filled with metalinguistic elements, her plot gains strength through audience interaction, culminating in its dissemination across various screens. Our analysis confirmed the value of convergence and media expansion manifested in audiovisual production, reception, and circulation, validating the conceptual principles of Svartman, Jenkins, Ford, and Green that there is no passive spectator, and the transmedia potential of audiovisual content. |
