| Sumario: | The study aims at reflecting on the dimensions of care performed by rural women. Methodologically, it was a qualitative study, through narrative literature review, with Feminist Economics as a theoretical contribution. Thus, a critical analysis of the academic production about care was carried out, aiming at giving visibility to women’s work in the mercantile and nonmarket economy in the context of peasant families. The results indicated three categories which were: a) care for household chores; b) care for people;c) care for nature and animals; allowing to highlight the Market and nonmarket strategies of the economic production of rural women. It was possible to perceive the active participation of women both in productive activities and in carrying out domestic work and care activities, which go beyond the traditional economic aspect translated into strategies for valuing their production, within the scope of family farming. |
