Descripción
Sumario:This article investigates how the relationship between Gender and Science has been researched in the last two decades. This is a qualitative research based on a literature review. As it is exploratory, it aims to present the reader with elements that contribute to an introductory analysis on the subject. For this, articles, dissertations and periodicals produced between 2000 and 2020 were chosen. Regarding the results, the analyzed research points to the importance of education for the consolidation of advances in relation to gender equality; reveal achievements and challenges faced by women, both in the present and in the past, as well as in the present; and present some pioneer women who went beyond what was allowed and expected, contributing to the development of human understanding in different areas of knowledge.
