Descrição
Resumo:This article presents the Multiuse Trail Project for the Campus of the Federal University of Santa Maria, including the theoretical basis, conceptualization, spatialization of the landscape architecture project and future steps. The multiuse project and construction was initiated in 2014 and since then the research group of the Landscape Architecture Lab (PARQ – UFSM) has been following the results, proposing methodologies of post occupation analysis and concentrating on planning the future expansion of the project. The main goal of this project is to promote alternative mobility and increase the value of the university campus by creating a sectorial urban park at an urban scale. The article presents the entire proposal process of development, offering a new concept for shared spaces which can be replicated in other open spaces in order to encourage alternative transportation.
