Description
Summary:Since the internet has assumed the role of a preferential and spontaneous source of access to information, this work intends to synthesize what Brazilian mothers search and find on the internet about breastfeeding through a Critical Review of Literature in the last 10 years. The selected studies have allowed for the categorization of three discussion topics: quality of information available, development of facilitators for access to information on breastfeeding and virtual groups supporting breastfeeding as a space for health education. The internet is an area with great potential for the development of actions of health education and promotion of breastfeeding. Although pertinent and current, the scientific literature lacks research that explores the topic of breastfeeding from the perspective of the online interaction of mothers, which is a very rich field for future studies.
